Frank W. Benson (US) -
(March 24, 1862 – November 15, 1951):
Painting using ' Benson's style' of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia
Great Barrier Reef, Australia.
Here is the photo on the left that the digital painting that I have made is based upon.
The Great Barrier Reef is a lovely ocean reserve of marine life.
It is situated in Australia. There are coral reefs, and crystal blue-green waters.
Frank Weston Benson was a 19th Century American painter who lived in Massachussets, USA.
This is where the famous educational establishments (ie. Harvard University, MIT etc), were based.
During his life, he painted some murals for the Library of Congress in Washington D.C., at the capital of USA. This at present is the largest Library in the whole world.
He also founded the following:
He was a founding member of the Ten American Painters, American Academy of Arts and Letters and The Guild of Boston Artists.
Below are my own Benson-style digital paintings of scenery around the world.
